The Power of Prophetic Words
Today, I would like to share a testimony of an incident that happened on Sunday, June 23rd, 2019. We had just gone for a conference in the United States of America and were returning back home. The flight was full and as such, myself and my husband were not able to get seats next to each other. He was seated just a seat behind mine, in the middle seat. As the flight progressed, I felt a bit uncomfortable but ignored it. Within a short interval, I started feeling extremely hot, and I mean hot! Then I started sweating profusely. I assumed maybe I just needed to rest but all of a sudden, I started feeling extremely weak. I tried getting my husband’s attention by tapping on the back of my seat, with the hopes that he will see my tapping hands. Little did I know that He was napping. Since I was too weak to stand or reach out to get the mantle that had been prayed over by my spiritual father, I pressed the button to summon the attention of the flight attendant. While waiting for them, the weakness intensified and I found myself leaning over on the passenger on my right. I couldn't sit up on my own. Things kind of started fading away as I wasn’t too conscious of things happening around me, even though I did not black out.
Without my recollection, my husband mentioned that the flight attendants asked the passengers on board if anyone was a doctor or in the medical field and three people came to my seat (a man and two ladies). My husband did not initially know the announcement was for me until he noticed the crew by my seating area. I was asked several questions to find out what was happening such as if I had eaten or drank anything, if I had taken any drugs, alcohol, etc but from my responses, there was no reason for me to be feeling this way. Simultaneously, they were checking my blood pressure and it read 60/40. Medically, this is extremely low and when I mentioned this number to a nurse after the incident, she mentioned such blood pressure reading would have triggered a “Code Blue”, meaning this was an emergency requiring immediate help or someone close to being gone. They checked my blood sugar and it was normal. At this point, the medical team were not sure why my blood pressure was this low. Being in the air, there was little medical items available except an IV drip of water and I believe gel glucose. My husband signaled we should start praying and I asked for my mantle as well. Without knowing exactly what to do, the medical team just gave me some juice to sip and some glucose. As we kept praying and the team kept monitoring me, the blood pressure started increasing. They were kind of shocked as they mentioned they knew it wasn’t because of the juice or glucose as my blood sugar was normal. We knew what it was. That was God in action!!! It was still low but gradually kept on increasing. Before we landed, they decided to deliver an IV drip of water to me, to keep me hydrated, even though they said there was no medication in it. By the time we landed, my blood pressure was at a reasonable level and I was attended to by a paramedic on ground. After some brief assessment, I was cleared to embark on the other leg of my trip back home. Praise God!
However, while this whole fiesta was happening, the devil began saying to me that I was going to die. I rejected it and recalled a passage I had recently meditated on during my devotions in 1 Timothy 1:18 TPT
“So Timothy, my son, I am entrusting you with this responsibility, in keeping with the very first prophecies that were spoken over your life, and are now in the process of fulfillment in this great work of ministry, in keeping with the prophecies spoken over you. With this encouragement use your prophecies as weapons as you wage spiritual warfare by faith and with a clean conscience. For there are many who reject these virtues and are now destitute of the true faith,”
In my spirit, I said to the devil, “I will not die because there are some words of prophecies that have been spoken over my life that are yet to be fulfilled”. This was a battle between me and the devil and I waged war against accepting death. I believe that if I had accepted the suggestion of the devil, it would have been a different story today. God forbid!!! Remember what the bible says in Proverbs 18:21 NKJV, that “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.”. So let me ask you: What words are you speaking over your life? What words have you allowed into your spirit? Are they words of life or death? There is great power in the words of prophecies declared over your life, whether from the word of God, spoken by the Holy spirit to you or spoken through any human spiritual authorities. Wage war with those words! As Paul admonished Timothy, use those words of prophecies as weapons in fighting the good fight of faith. The fact that your current situation does not seem similar to the prophetic word spoken over your life, that does not mean it would not happen. Don’t settle but remind God of what He has said over your life until you see it come to pass. The bible says in Numbers 23:19 NKJV “God is not a man that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” God is faithful to His words and He will do it as He has said. So, whenever the devil comes and presents something contrary to what God has said, refuse it and declare what God has said! Remember that as children of God, we are all prophets to our own self. Never let go of the prophetic words spoken over your life!
Such authority to stand on God’s words is only available to children of God and for you to gain access to such authority, you need to surrender your heart unto Jesus Christ and make Him your personal Lord and Savior. To do so today, please say this prayer:
“Lord Jesus Christ, I believe you are the Son of God and I believe You died for me on the cross of Calvary. I know I am a sinner and today, I come to You to forgive me of all my sins and to make me a brand new creation. I accept You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and making me born again, in Jesus name, Amen.”
Congratulations!!!! You are now born-again! This means you share the same DNA as Jesus Christ and all because of you, there is a great celebration in heaven right now!
